1 Mock Grandrelle Yarns
These are single yarns spun from double roving, one of which is coloured to simulate the effect of a two-fold grandrelle obtained by twisting two threads together. Mock grandrelle being only a single yarn, is not as strong as two-fold of equivalent count, but it is cheaper. A grandrelle effect may also be obtained by printing the yarn.Dictionary of the English textile terms > Mock Grandrelle Yarns
